Their son told them last weekend he had decided to no longer stand and recite the Pledge of Allegiance at school because he didn’t believe there is liberty and justice for all, especially when it comes to gay rights.

Kids can be much more prescient than adults. At 10, he understands that these words actually mean something; a fact that many seem to have forgotten.

The murals, painted on corrugated plastic eight feet high and four feet wide, will wrap around the 1,000-feet brick exterior of the building.” (via) If it doesn’t rain Saturday i will definitely check this out. Awesome! This is 8 blocks from my apt. Hopefully I’ll be able to take a walk over there some time this weekend.

A new policy at Tufts University prohibits students in dorms from having sex while their roommate is in the room, according to the university’s 2009-2010 student handbook. A school spokeswoman says students have expressed concerns over roommate having sex in the dorms.


The Massachusetts university’s formal rule also bars so-called ‘sexiling’ — exiling a roommate from the room so the other roommate can engage in sexual activity.
